Introduction

This policy explains what personal data Melo Studio collects on melostudio.dk, why, and what rights you have. We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Danish Data Protection Act.

Who is responsible

The data controller is Lund & Luckmann Group ApS, CVR 46376633, Copenhagen, Denmark. Contact: hello@melostudio.dk.

What we collect and why

We do not collect special categories of data (such as health or political views) and ask you not to send it to us.

Newsletter: we use double opt-in, which means you confirm your email address before you get the first issue. Every email has an unsubscribe link. [We measure opens and clicks to see which topics are useful / We do not track opens or clicks. Pick one.]

Who we share data with

We only share data with companies that help us run the site and our services, and only as needed:

  • Framer - hosting and delivery of the website

  • Calendly - booking calls

  • [Newsletter provider] - sending the newsletter

  • [Analytics tools including: GA4, Microsoft Clarity and more] - site statistics, only after consent

  • [Email / CRM / invoicing tools] - handling enquiries, clients and accounting

These companies act as our data processors under written agreements, or as independent controllers where their own terms say so. We do not sell your data. We may also share data with advisors (such as our accountant) and with authorities when the law requires it.

Transfers outside the EU/EEA

Some of the companies above are based in, or use servers in, countries outside the EU/EEA, for example the USA. Where that happens, we rely on a valid transfer mechanism, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the EU's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep data

  • Enquiries and emails that do not lead to a project: up to [12] months

  • Client and contract data: for the length of the relationship, then as long as Danish bookkeeping law requires (currently 5 years after the end of the financial year)

  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe

  • Analytics data: up to [14] months

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask what data we hold about you and get a copy (access)

  • have wrong data corrected

  • have your data deleted, in many cases

  • restrict how we use your data

  • receive your data in a common format (portability)

  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest

  • withdraw consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing or changing your cookie choices. This does not affect what we did before you withdrew.

Write to hello@melostudio.dk to use any of these rights. We reply within one month.

Complaints

If you think we handle your data wrongly, please tell us first so we can fix it. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, datatilsynet.dk.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limited to people who need it, and processors we have reviewed. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies on the site. See the Cookie Policy for details and how to change your choices.

Data we handle for clients

When we work inside a client's analytics, website, forms or customer lists, the client decides why and how that personal data is used, and we process it only on their instructions as their data processor, under a data processing agreement. If your data reached us this way, contact the company you are a customer of first, because they are responsible for it. We will help them answer you.

Children

The site and our services are for businesses and are not aimed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has sent us data, write to [email] and we will delete it.

Automated decisions

We do not make decisions about you based only on automated processing, and we do not profile you in a way that has legal or similarly significant effects.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date and version tags at the top shows the latest version. We will tell you about material changes where we can, for example by email to newsletter subscribers.
